Mack Rudy Middlewick, Born on 2nd November 2011 at 4.01am. Weighing 8lbs 12oz

So our little boy is here and we are totally smitten. Days are spent watching his every facial expression, quick to learn that smiles are cute but end with something less sweet!

I wonder how I will ever have time to do anything again.

I am not going to go into detail with my labour, it was not at all how my natural, quick, drug free pool birth plan was, but he is here and the rest has become a distant memory. Paul was my rock through the labour and since Mack has arrived, I cannot thank him enough.

I will just say a huge thank you to the amazing staff at Poole Maternity and NICU for taking such good care of our precious bundle and getting us all home together.

Nothing can prepare you for the overwhelming feelings you have when you have a baby, if I could bottle it I would be a rich woman.

Yes you don’t get as much sleep, your home looks like a bomb has hit it, your body is like a large jelly, your days and nights merge into one, but it’s all outweighed when I look at Mack and Paul together.
